WHO ARE WE?

Away back in 1998 a small group of young adults met at the Cistercian Abbey in Roscrea for a retreat. Over a weekend these young people entered into the peaceful atmosphere and rhythm of the monastery, joining the monks for prayer, listening to inspiring talks and sharing friendship
The response was very positive. And so by popular demand monastic Youth Retreats were born!

    
 WHO COME ON THESE RETREATS?
Young adults(18-40 years) from every walk of life attend. Most are searching for something deeper in life. There are those already with vibrant faith while others simply wonder what life is all about. A crisis along life's journey may trigger a need in a person that suggests a retreat.
A time of decision, great or small, may also be an opportune moment to consider a retreat. The retreat then can help with discernment.
Some express a desire to step aside from the business of their lives or desire to deepen their spiritual life. A longing to meet young friends in the faith is another reason to give a retreat a try.
