My time with Shannon (English teacher @ Young Genius) was very enjoyable! At first, I had expected to have a teacher who was at least 30-40 years old, but just meeting and seeing her already gave me a good impression of her. Not only did she offer me good advice about writing my High School Application Essays, her ability to relate easily with me was another helpful factor in teaching me! Not once did I feel intimidated to ask her a question, in fact, it was almost as if I she was a friend from school, and we were just talking at lunch. The type of teaching style that Shannon employs is one that I think will benefit other children who wish to improve writing skills.

                Another thing that I thought that was good about Shannon was her ability to give great constructive criticism that would not hurt my feelings. When she pointed out my errors, I didn’t feel like hitting myself on the head, instead, it was like a joke to laugh at!

                So, all in all, Shannon is a great teacher. My time with her was a great experience, and I wish I had more teachers like her in my school!
