My current research interests include: (1) Water pollutant loads in the river and pollutant discharge of domestic wastewater, and dissemination and environmental education in the field of water quality problems; (2) Water quality profiles in the ambient water including rivers and lakes; (3) International development assistance in the fields of water and sanitation; (4) Eco-tourisms; and (5) Environmental education in schools and universities especially in elementary and high schools;
In the five research fields above, from #1 to #3 will be main research topics and #4 and #5 will be sub-themes. Based on availability my research resources including financial, time, devices and interested students, I will focus on #1-3. If more research resources are available, I will also conduct researches on #4 and #5.
My teaching interests include: (1) Water treatment and wastewater treatment engineering (Undergraduate and graduate levels); (2) Pollutant load analysis and statistic analysis of environment data including economic parameters (Undergraduate and graduate levels); (3) International development assistance in the fields of water and sanitation (Undergraduate and graduate levels); (4) Water and food (Undergraduate level); and (5) Environment education focusing on that in Japan (Undergraduate level).
Some of the goals in my research include to find desirable directions for water environment and economic development, which will be cleared with comparison method of some different economic level countries, e.g. Japan, Thailand and Bangladesh. The findings of the research will contribute to the development of the whole world especially in developing countries.
