Bordley Walk and Evening Meeting Monday, 20th February 2012 Tony Keates will lead an afternoon walk around Lainger and Bordley Hall Farm looking for potential mill sites. Tony is the Secretary of the Middleham and Dales Local History Group and is an historian who specialises in early mill complexes and has been researching the now ruined manorial Griff Mill, between Melmerby and Coverdale. The place to meet for the walk will be outside Hetton Methodist Church School Room at 1.00 pm. The afternoon walk will be followed by an evening meeting at Hetton Methodist Church School Room commencing at 7.30 pm. There will be two presentations: The latest update on the progress of the Bordley Township Project from Janis Heward, the Project’s Director followed by a talk from Tony Keates on the ‘Aspects of Water Mills’.
