Yoga Modules

The following Modules are designed in a systematic sequence, and can be used one per week. A combination of Yoga, Pranayama, and deep relaxation can surely help generate interest in performing yoga on a regular basis. Sample Yoga modules, namely (module 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16). Each suggested  Module includes the following: 
  • Breathing Practices
  • Loosening Practices
  • Suryanamaskar
  • Asana and
  • Pranayama

Yoga typical sessions in shakhas for 30 minutes can be structures as:

  • Warmup (3min) - Includes Breathing and Loosening practices
  • Suryanamaskar (7min)
  • Asana (12 min)
  • Pranayama (8 min)

Yoga sessions in shakhas for 45 minutes could include a little more time for each vishay and some time for Dhyana. A typical such session can be designed as follows:

  • Warmup (5min) - Includes Breathing and Loosening practices
  • Suryanamaskar (8min)
  • Asana (20 min)
  • Pranayama (10 min)
  • Dhyana (2 min)

Yoga sessions in shakhas for 60 minutes may spend some more time each subject and end the session with 10-15 minutes of Quick Relaxation. A Sample Quick Relaxation Technique (QRT) is included in this site for reference. The following is a schedule for a typical one hour yoga session:   

  • Warmup (5min)
  • Suryanamaskar (10min)
  • Asana ( 20 min)
  • Pranayama (12 min)
  • Dhyana (3 min)
  • Quick Relaxation (10 min)
