What: Yogis and like minded spiritually conscious people around the world unite on this weekend around the world in sacred action towards peace.  Participants from over 30 countries will join in spirit through collective practices to bring peace to our communities, our states, our countries, our planet, and ourselves.

This year the Global Mala Project and Yoga for Peace campaigns have combined.  This marks the third year where hundreds of people have gathered for this event in Santa Cruz.  Participants follow the lead of soulful yoga instructors and musicians to engage in anywhere between 1-108 Sun Salutations to generate a resonant field of peace.  Practitioners of other meditative practices, for example tai chi, qi gong, seated meditation, are encouraged to attend and add their practices to the event.
Children and families are also welcome.  There are playground equipment and ducks at San Lorenzo Park as an option for the children to learn to be peaceful while they play. We are a not for profit volunteer organization.  We welcome donations please click here for more information.

Exciting updates:

Girish the internationally known recording artist has donated his time to lead us in kirtan after the mala!  You may know Girish from his albums: Shiva Machine and Reveal, or maybe you have taken part in one of his kirtan concerts.  If you are new to Girish, you will be very pleased by the smooth beauty of his voice and purity of his heart.
