Introduction to Yoga for Seniors

A regular yoga practice can help maintain your current state of mobility while alleviating chronic pain, increasing joint mobility and improving blood and oxygen circulation throughout your body.  Improvements in memory, emotional well being and over-all health are common results to a regular yoga practice.

Yoga  is unity; unity of body, mind and spirit. Introduction to Yoga is specifically crafted for Seniors (those over 65 years of age) with reduced mobility issues. This class will engage the body, enliven the spirit and calm the mind through asanas (postures), breath work, chanting and meditation. Each of these elements are essential to honing a integrated yoga practice that will balance the subtle energy systems in the body, leading to increased health and overall quality of life.
