The YMCA Waverunners Youth Swim Team is designed to instill in our youth the basic principles and values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsiblity in a competitive, fun atmosphere. Our goal is not to be concerned with winning or losing, but to see that each participant comes out a better person. - to each and instill in every child the four core values that the YMCA stands for: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility
- to teach each swimmer to respect themselves, their teammates, their coaches, and the sport
- all swimmers will be taught the value of honesty
- all swimmers are responsible for listening to their coaches and learning the basics of the sport; each swimmer will learn the skills of each stroke
- all swimmers are expected to have a positive attitude and be caring towards everyone they come in contact with
- all swimmers are expected to use good sportsmanship
- all swimmers are expected to go out there and have fun while they learn!
