City of Dublin YMCA launches “Strong Kids” Campaign and its new website!

Building Strong Kids, Strong Families and Strong Communities

The City of Dublin YMCA is excited to launch its Strong Kids campaign and its new website www.YMCA.ie.  It has been helping vulnerable young people in Dublin’s Inner City for over 160 years. Homeless accommodation, education, youth work, community childcare and community employment are just some of the services built into the very core of the YMCA’s existence.

Dublin’s greatest natural resource is people – especially young people.  The most effective way to make our world stronger is to start by strengthening our kids.  The YMCA “Strong Kids” campaign will offer real chances, real change and positive opportunities to the young people who need it most. By offering a support network and by promoting positive life choices The City of Dublin YMCA aim to Build Strong Kids and help turn them into strong adults. Speaking at the launch of the YMCA Strong Kids campaign Bernadette Grogan Fundraising manager and campaign organizer states “We believe everyone should get an equal chance at a happy and productive life and by supporting the Strong Kids Campaign you can give that chance to vulnerable young people, facing adversity and struggles in their daily lives. Launching the website and campaign together has real significance. We want interaction, we want to show the critical services we offer and the changes they make to real lives right on your doorstep. The website gives us this opportunity and I would ask everyone to visit www.ymca.ie and please show your support the “Strong Kids Campaign” in any way they can”.   If you want to know what else The YMCA does then its newly revamped website is where it’s at!

How YOU can help build Strong Kids…

Individuals: You can help by using any of the services on offer at the YMCA including joining The YMCA gym, taking a fitness class, renting the sports hall, signing up as a volunteer to run for the YMCA and with the YMCA in this years women’s mini marathon or of course by making a donation. What’s more - 100% of profits goes towards helping the kids that need it most!

Companies: All of the above apply, renting any of the YMCA facilities and getting your staff to enter the mini marathon with and for the YMCA would be greatly appreciated. An active workforce programme is also in place which is specifically designed to get your workforce healthy with 100% of the profits going towards improving the lives of the kids in YMCA services.

Monetary, Skill or Stock donations are always greatly appreciated.
