I am currently working with Mphasis -India team. I have been living in B'lore for sometime now. 

Everyone seems to be busy in these hectic times, but i am not sure what is it all about? What we use to achieve in a single day, seems to take more than 2-3 days. Larger is the world and network around us, more we have tendency to while away our time in non important activities. Do we really spend quality time on our own selves ? This may have become a question for all of us?

Even though we are so well connected in internet with broadband world, still i find couple of my friends  spending more time on the travel and various non productive activities. 

Its sometimes true because the twitted time lost in between had only phone or casual friendly chat . Now the leakage found in concentration pool , has more leakages due to emails , blogs and multiple channels of networking , friends and type of work we do. This blog will add to your time on the net.

For Gadget Freaks  :

1. Nokia launches N97 phone -3G . USD 700+ (30 - 35K ) phone which has S-60,5th edition OS and plenty of good features.  I am not sure people would like to buy such a phone in 2010. Nokia's innovation team has also launched copy cat i-phone type music site and app store. OVi site gives you music downloads and some of the applications hosting space.  The  new products launched this year will not grow the market share, since they are only doing catchup on features and nothing special value add. Free music, ring tones and maps are no more glue to Indian customers.

2. i-phone 3G S  is a good buy for $299. It might be sometime, when Airtel and Vodafone gets a new stock and decides on what to do with existing 3G ( expensive existing stocks ) they would have retained.  Other than BSNL other telecom service providers have not launched 3G till date. BSNL 3G connection and i-phone can be deadly combination, but it has to be jailbreak phone since BSNL does not offer and stock this phone as yet.

The phone has excellent features w.r.t. everything you can imagine.

3.  Blackberry touch models are really touched by sales, but its data handling is secured for enterprises. BB will remain profitable but will not beat the market forecast. Their individual user connection still lands in India via Canada. If I am not an enterprise user, then my phone will talk to me and get my push email via Canada based BES server.

New 8520 device has 12 months x 2 member free tickets to multiplex anywhere in india @ price of Rs 14-15K - 3 months or 6 months BB push email at Rs 99/- only .. will make the indian population grow.

I have seen couple of college students as well as real estate agents using blackberry devices. 

Its web browser needs to undergo a surgical change. The device otherwise is good. Be cautious of handling the device , else you may be in shock with after sales service.

They have only one Service centre in Banerghatta road,  The service MTTR and price will also depend upon the sticker on the box says Redington, In Gram Micro or some other importer.

Different dealers offers vary based on city and time when you buy.

4. Samsung phones are a good buy, they have features needed by every user. Samsung phones are 30-40% cheaper than other leading brands in same category. Great screens, cleaner navigations and support various movie play formats.
Their own Bada OS is coming up in the market soon.
Corby family is largest selling family with 3-4 phones for every user in mind.

5. Those who wants to watch movies while in taxi, train or air , of their own choice ; might have seen Archos 704 device.
This device has 160GB disk, 7" display, all movie play formats supported, 24 hr battery life. New device 'Internet 5' model boasts of wi-fi and internet access.

6. i-PoD Touch at Rs 9000/- can be used by any software member for i-phone app development as well. It can be Music player, movie player a well as tool to build and test applications. It will not play DivX files though.

Travel over weekend :

Jun/Jul/Aug:  Kumarkom - 15th August and 1st Thursday 100 member boat race event can be a great scene to watch.  This years 15th August happens to be on Saturday.
