WHAT ARE THE FUTURE PLANS FOR THIS SITE?

    I plan to work on this site as I get some free time in my hands. Following are what's in my head right now...

1 - Refine and complete the freeware page with a complete suite of tools that you can possibly need without making it too crowded to find anything. Question: Quantity vs. Quality? Answer: Quality

2 - Fill the TIPs page with some very valueable information that I spent hours figuring out. Utilize discussions with users to see if I can solve other common problems that you're having and if they're worthy enough place them permenantly on the site for reference.

3 - Utilize the link page to have an organized by subject most important URLs that I think everyone should have access to and use

4 - Maybe a little joke page to share all my favorite jokes. Again, QUALITY not sheer quantity.

WHO THE HECK AM I?

    My name is Yalın, and yes the "i" does not have a dot on purpose if you haven't noticed. That's because I am Turkish and we have to distinct letters namely "ı" and "i". After this Turkish lesson let's continue with the rest of this boring text. I am a programmer for the wonderful State of Utah's Office of Education. Click here to go to the page I maintain for them. I just graduated from Weber State University with my Computer Science Degree and very happy about it.

WHAT IS THE POINT? 

    Glad you asked, well I spend lots of time trying out new software, and here is my philosophy, A piece of software should do what it needs to do, nothing more nothing less, it preferably should be minimilistic, meaning no unnecesary visuals to bug down the system, no impressive but useless functionality, and it should be uhm... free. NOT SHAREWARE, NOT PAYWARE, NOT CRIPPLEWARE (My Term), Free as in water from the ocean.

    So, since I also started playing around with mighty Googlepages, I figured why not share this fruits of my everlasting goal to find the best freeware out there, so I created this little site for you and my friends to have a quick location where you can access all my little favorite apps that I proudly use.

    While I was at it, I figure I should add a little about me and also add some Windows Tips that I possess due to my past experiences with trouble shooting computers. Eventually, this site may just become the one-stop-shop for a techy (like myself) to get access to usefull tools, commonly used information, and good favorites.

WHAT'S UP WITH THE DUCKS?

    Well, I live in a nice apartment complex right by a creek, and I have ducks live right outside my apartment, they are nice little animals and my wife seems to love them. So I take pictures of them sometimes to better my (non-existent) photagraphy skills. 

    Oh, and the geese are my wife's current nightmare. They chase her and scare her every chance they get. It's pretty hilarious.

    Last week when she was sleeping on the lawnchair on our patio, this was what she saw standing right in front of her and it scaredthe crap out of her. LOL.
