CREED of the BA YANKEES:

1.       Attitude – The basis for everything we do is having the right attitude.  We will be eager to listen and learn.  Frustration with a loss or a poor performance will be used to increase our desire for improvement, but we will never hang our head in shame if we have tried hard.  We will always show good sportsmanship.

2.       Work ethic – Good attitudes will drive us to work hard and be mentally strong.  We will practice right, listen to the coaches, watch instruction closely, do what is asked with enthusiasm and always hustle. This work ethic must become a part of who we are and always be evident in everything we do, not just baseball.

3.       Skill – Only by having the right work ethics will our skills increase.  Each practice, each game and each opportunity to see the game played, we will find things to learn and apply.  Our skills and knowledge will improve continually.

4.       Team – Baseball is a team sport, and each teammate is important.  We realize that the team is more important than any one person.  We will support and encourage every member of our team in a positive way, and communicate on the field.

5.       Success – Success is a measure of gain; it's not what level you reach, it is how far you've come.  If we have developed good attitudes, strong work ethics, increased skills and become solid teammates we will have success.  Our success will not be measure only by how many games we win, but by how much improvement we have achieved.  We will win if we continually improve more than others.
