Dave Yaeger performs in the Plymouth area with Jim Schulze in the david james duo, and also as a solo act.
The david james duo features acoustic guitars, vocal harmonies and an assortment of percussion including congas, shakers and other noisemakers. Dave and Jim play cover songs with an emphasis on upbeat, well-known selections that fall mainly in the classic rock category.
Dave's solo act includes acoustic guitar, vocals, and his homemade foot percussion rig, which isn't pretty, but it gets the job done. The set list is similar in spirit to that of the david james duo.
On occasion he performs back in his hometown with the band he grew up with, the Strange Faces. The Strange Faces feature Rob Scally on guitar and vocals (occasionally bass), Kevin McLaren on guitar and vocals, Mike Yaeger on bass (and harmonica), Steve Yaeger on guitar and Dave on the drums. The set list leans heavily on the Band, with a dose of southern rock and an eclectic mix of songs we like.
Dave brings his passion for music into his high school science classes, and you can find some of his science songs here as well.
