What is YACK?

Young Active Christian kids

Wednesday nights 7:00-8:30 p.m.,

kids 4 years old through 5th grade have an opportunity to gather together at GCC for an evening of FUN, fellowship, learning about God, listening to upbeat Christian music, FUN, making crafts and playing games. Did we mention FUN?

Q: What are these coins my kids are coming home with??

A: YACK YENS

New this year!

Kids will have an opportunity to earn YACK YENS by memorizing scripture, showing honor to others and bringing visitors. These are just a few of the many ways to earn YACK YENS to purchase toys, candy and other miscellaneous items in our YACK Shack every three months.

YACK Overnighter

Every winter kids 3rd grade through 5th grade get together for fun, swimming and games on a Friday evening and leave Saturday morning. This is a fun way to get rid of some built up energy caused by winter blues.

          Mid-week Goals

On Wednesday nights our goals are:

-Provide a safe environment for the children of GCC and our surrounding community to learn about our Lord and Savior.

-Create a club style program that encourages children to form supportive Christian relationships with their peers.

-Create an atmosphere that is exciting and fun that encourages kids to bring their friends.

-Provide opportunities for families to spend some quality time together.

-Implement community service outings, i.e., Nursing home visits, yard work for the elderly, cleaning a park, etc…

-Provide parental support, i.e.: Respite, furnish parenting materials [traditional, blended and single families], and adult support groups that take place while children are attending YACK.

Greenville Community Church Children and Family Ministry Core Value Statement

We work with parents to give children a foundation of biblical values and moral teaching. We recognize that children are more likely to become Christ-followers before the age of 18 than at any other time in life. So we provide relevant programming for today’s children. We want to be your family’s partner for better living- holy living. That’s why we offer:

  • Fun family activities.
  • Support ministries for those making difficult adjustments .
  • Events to enrich your family’s growth.
