"Enter to learn, go forth for service." This is the motto of the school
i have been attending for the past four years of my life. Many may say
that these four years are the best times of our lives. I can not
imagine why. How are four years of reading, writing, arithmetic,
essays, and tests amazing. Then you realize it is so much more than
that. High school is where you grow; you are molded into who you will
be for the rest of your life. In my case i have become an outgoing
person who speaks their mind. Before i began high school i was
extremely shy, and hid behind everything i did. I feel as if my
experiences have defined me. I was always a performer at heart, no i am
no longer afraid to show it. My mother pushed me to be who i am because
she knew that i had that virtue. If i had not been in the situation
where i could be in front of a crowd time and time again i would not
know who i truly am. Although i can not wait to leave High School, i have to admit i am great full for everything even the bad experiences. If i had not been through all that i did i would not be as strong as i am today. Everything throughout these past four years has helped me grow as a person, and a student as well. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and in turn teaches you a lesson which will help you later on in life. The teenage years are more valuable than you think. This is where children learn by doing; they learn which ideas are not so smart after doing them. I have learned by watching my peers, and the ignorant things they have done. The parties every weekend, the multiple drugs(that are easily obtained) and the decision to do so. When in fact they have the option to not. These past four years have given me experiences i will never forget. Including drama, friends, and memories that will last me a lifetime. Incidentally High school has prepared me and my peers for the lives that lay ahead of us. |
