RESEARCHER EXPERIENCE:

For bachelor degree, I did some project work in the windows system kernel. In order to have an independent data transmission path in the system kernel, we designed our own transmission protocol for inter LAN message transmission instead of using the normal TCP/IP stack. I implemented a prototype by using some system kernel mechanisms such as system service, dynamic link library, and NDIS based kernel driver technologies.

      For master degree, I studied the transmission acceleration technology based on TOE (transmission offload engineer). We designed and implemented the software for TOE card, which can offload most of the packet processing load to the hardware. Specifically, I studied the zero_copy transmission technology, and proposed an algorithm to remap the memory in Linux system. I also did some analysis work to the high performance network and network storage systems, including SAN, InfiniBand, iWARP and Myrinet.
