The Barony of Wyverwoode will be presenting a demonstration throughout the run of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Tampa, Florida. Look for the SCA booth near the blacksmith and Landskenechts.
The Festival runs each weekend from February 18th through until April 1st 2012.

Monday, January 9th 2012 at Mistress Maol's house @ 6:30pm. We will be short on chairs this month so please bring a camp chair if you can. Healthy snacks welcome.

A Polling of the Baronial Orders will be held on October 4th @ 6:00pm (this will be prior to the business meeting) All members of the Wyvern's Claw, Wyvern's Scale, and Wyvern's Heart are encouraged to attend!
Additionally the Fair Ladies of the Barony will meet to dicuss who may be the next recipient of the Ring of Chivalry! |

Oyez! Oyez!
Does Iron Maiden mean more to you than a Rock Band? Does Heavy Metal make up have a whole different context? In the spirit of Halloween, the Barony of Wyvernwoode would like to invite you to participate in a "Believe It or Not" themed A&S Competition. We are looking for the weird and the wonderful, the bizarre, the "did they REALLY do that?" type entries. It could be strange body art, it could be what the well stocked torture chamber would hold, it could be bone carving, it can be anything you want! It does not matter how strange, icky or even distasteful.
So if you have an A&S project that is a little off the beaten path, or even a lot, this is the competition for you. All entries must have documentation and will be judged. We will have a Crowns Choice and Populace Choice as well.
Please note this is NOT a Regional A&S Fair, this is a themed competition. You will still have your entry judged and be given feedback so that you can enter it into a Regional Fair at some future point.
This competition will take place Saturday, October 29th, at Baronial Bash. Please have your display ready by 9am. Please let me know if your entry is rated PG or higher so that we can make appropriate arrangements for adult only access.

GREETINGS ALL,
At the business meeting it was decided to move our weekly Fighter Practice and support our southern neighbor the Canton of Brineside Moor.
LOCATION:
Twin Lakes Park
6700 Clark Road
Sarasota, FL
TIME:
1:00pm-4:00pm
As you enter the park there is parking on the right and fighting takes place on a penninsula on the left.
It is a little walk from the parking to where the fighting takes place; but you can drive your car near the spot and drop off your gear to walk the rest of the way.
It is generally shaded and seating is limited, so bring chairs and shade if you are so inclined.
We are trying to organize a carpool so we can get as many people down there as possible.
Contact me if you need a ride or have a vehicle to lend to the cause.
