Visitors wishing to play are asked to arrive at the club at least a quarter of an hour before the commencing time. it is a good idea to contact the club before hand, to check that the club will be playing at the usual time on a particular day, but this is not essential. The Club has recently commenced Sunday afternoon social games, from 1.30 pm. The club now has lights and games are played from 7 pm on Fridays during summer. FREE TRIALS

Newcomers to croquet are invited to "come and try".  There is no cost, all equipment will be supplied, and there is no requirement for special clothing, but flat heeled shoes should be worn, so as not to damage the lawns. Free Trial are available on most club days.

LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS

Lessons are offered to beginners, for a small fee.  The lessons are usually held during club days and last for about two hours.  The date and time of at least the first lesson should be arranged beforehand.  Usually, the lessons aim to take a beginner to the point where the player can start playing Association Croquet with and against established players.  However, lessons can be changed to cover other forms of croquet if this seems more suitable to an individual.
