For those of you that are new to ‘Back to Netball’ the festival is a fun, social opportunity for you to play a full day of matches against other ladies involved in the ‘Back to Netball’ programme across West Yorkshire. The previous festival was a huge success and really was a truly fun and enjoyable day, it really is worth getting involved in. If you have friends, family or work colleagues who you think might want to get involved in the festival then please feel free to sign them up.

The festival will take place at Lawnswood YMCA sports centre on Sunday 1st April from 9.30am-5.00pm. As mentioned, the festival will be raising money for Comic Relief and in order to embrace a true fun element for Comic Relief I would like ALL teams to come in Fancy Dress. The fancy dress theme is ‘Sport’. You can come dressed as anything related to sport (ie/ famous players, sporting team uniforms, sports objects etc) EXCEPT netball, so no netball skirts lol!!

The cost of the festival is £45 per team, based on 7-10 players per team. Whilst some of the fees will cover overheads, the remainder of the money will be donated to Comic Relief. There will be also plenty of opportunities on the day to donate money to Comic Relief if you wish.

If you would like to get involved in the festival please find attached the festival entry form, registration form and photography consent form. ALL players within your team must complete the photography consent form and new players who have not completed a registration form in ‘Back to Netball’ sessions must also complete the registration form (at the bottom of the page). So, get recruiting your players ladies!!!

Following the success of the West Yorkshire ‘Back to Netball’ Festival in October, I am due to host a West Yorkshire Comic Relief ‘Back to Netball’ festival on Sunday 1st April from 9.30am - 5.00pm.
The festival is typically open to women involved in the ‘Back to Netball’ programme or women looking to play netball again. The festival provides the women with a fun, competitive outlet and it is a brilliant opportunity to meet women from other ‘Back to Netball’ sessions.
I am therefore looking for a group of volunteers keen to ‘get stuck in’ on the day. Primarily, volunteers will be required to; help set up, table official, score run, co-ordinate teams, time keep, co-ordinate fund raising activities and generally help ensure the event runs smoothly.
This is a brilliant opportunity to support England Netball’s ‘Back to Netball’ scheme and will be a thoroughly enjoyable day.
