 The Scoliosis Research Society is partnering with the National Scoliosis Foundation to promote the second annual National Scoliosis Awareness Month. The society’s mission is to educate the profession and public at large on scoliosis and related deformities. This program fits that mission and aims to unite patients and SRS members in a positive awareness campaign through the media and a variety of grassroots activities in their local communities.
One of the goals of this year’s campaign is to have a Scoliosis Awareness Day in every state similar to those held in Philadelphia and Boston in 2008. A Scoliosis Media & Community Guide is available for members who want to join the program.
We are pleased to partner in this collaborative effort. We encourage SRS members to participate in the campaign, and look forward to displaying a map of the U.S. at the Annual Meeting in San Antonio showing your participation in every state.
