2008 NHA Renewable Hydrogen Forum

The http://www.hydrogenforums.org/2008 NHA Renewable Hydrogen Forum will provide everything you need to know about renewable energy and its essential link to the hydrogen production.

On September 22-24 in Golden, Colorado, renewable and hydrogen industry experts from across the country and around the world will lead keynote and panel discussions on:
  • Renewable Resources for Hydrogen Production: What resources do we need? How much hydrogen can they provide?

  • Renewable Hydrogen Policy: What are the government's current policies on renewable hydrogen? What legislative support is needed to ensure the success of hydrogen produced from renewables?

  • Infrastructure Development and Planning: Where, when and how will the roll-out of renewable hydrogen take place?

  • Commercialization Projects: Where do renewably-produced hydrogen initiatives already exist? Have they been successful?

In addition to keynote and panel presentations, you’ll have the chance to interact with other attendees in a variety of workshops, designed to help you facilitate renewable hydrogen industry when you return from the Forum.

Combine these keynotes, panels, and workshops with a "Renewable Hydrogen 101" introductory session, plus in-depth tours of hydrogen R&D at the nearby National Renewable Energy Lab, and you have everything you need to become a renewable hydrogen expert!

                   USDA ANNOUNCES $19.7 MILLION IN VALUE-ADDED GRANTS

  Rural Enterprises in 37 States, Puerto Rico to Benefit from USDA Funding

 

WASHINGTON, September 4, 2008-- Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer today announced the selection of 144 recipients in 37 states and the territory of Puerto Rico to receive more than $19 million in USDA Rural Development assistance under the Value-Added Producer Grant program.

"These grants will improve financial returns and help create jobs for agricultural producers, businesses and families across rural America," Schafer said. "With these grants USDA is investing in farmers and ranchers and the economic integrity of rural America. Additionally, these funds will provide for the further development of renewable energy sources, which is a major goal of President Bush's national energy policy."
