One day mini-course will go over the basics of a gas to electric vehicle conversion, with a focus on the EV sub-systems needed for a do-it-yourself conversion.  Suitable for individuals wanting to perform their own conversions, automotive technology teachers, and technicians interested in exploring potential of this green niche business.


Workshop News and Updates    5/31/11 Our 1990 Mazda Miata has been completely de-ICEd (all internal combustion engine parts removed) by the automotive technology class at North Montco Technical High School.  The conversion kit and battery management system have been ordered and as of today our class is nearly half-filled, so register soon to reserve your place!


Bill Kirkpatrick, a twe
nty-five year automotive teaching veteran at North Montco Technical Career Center, will be teaching his 3rd conversion workshop for Bucks County Renewables this summer. 

Bill has restored an antique golf cart with lithium-ion batteries  and can't wait to do a full-size build.
 
Kit & design for our Miata conversion will be provided by  Brandon Hollinger of BH Conversions, who was recently featured on the Revenge of the Electric Car website and in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
