Thank you for your interest in our free, week-long hands-on EV curriculum, available below. Depending
on the modules offered, students will cover:
This
sequence of study can be extended to include building a 24V working
electric vehicle “bench-mount” demonstration system or building a
24V electric go-kart. As such it is appropriate for an electric
vehicle club as well as for a physical science, engineering, or
automotive technology class. Please let us know if you plan to use this curriculum in your classroom. We are eagerly seeking feedback, questions, and suggestions for improvement. Note: this is not a guide to teaching a full EV conversion. This curriculum offers a five-day overview of EV technology, batteries, motors, and circuits. The coursework can be extended to building a small bench-mounted EV system suitable for powering a go-kart. You can find links to existing EV conversion curriculum materials available online here. Note: course videos are available separately. The videos for Module 1 and Module 4 are available for viewing on Youtube, but are too large to be uploaded to this website. Videos can be downloaded via a website that specializes in transferring large files by individual arrangement. Contact us to arrange to download and burn your own DVD of Bucks County Renewables' 2006 and 2009 films, "A Consumer's Guide to the Electric Car" and "What Makes an EV Go." |
