 Winners in Elite Power Solutions Contest On January 4, 2011, Elite Power Solutions of Phoenix, AZ announced that Bucks County Renewables was awarded one of three 144v lithium-ion battery packs given away in their national contest publicized by the Electric Auto Association. The 39 entries they received were evaluated according to impact on general awareness of alternative energy solutions, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuel consumption, and their ability to complete their project in a timely manner, and potential to bring the product to market. The other two winners were a high school EV program in Hawaii and an electric-ATV building company started by 3 juniors from the University of Louisiana.
