Summer Hands-On EV Conversion Workshop Successfully Concluded
July 31, 2011 - We had a blast at our 3rd hands-on EV conversion workshop at the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology in Jamison, PA. The 1990 Mazda Miata built in 6 days by a team of 10 students spun wheels before lunch on Friday, July 30 and rolled triumphantly out for a drive a little after 2 p.m. on the last day.

Thanks to our co-sponsors the Green Jobs Academy of Bucks County Community College, to Elite Power Solutions for awarding us the batteries, and thanks to our terrific class!

Bucks County Renewables WILL BE PARKED in 2012
January 2, 2012: Promoting EV's over the last 5 years has been an amazing journey, but also a labor of love which must be set aside for the time being owing to other demands on my schedule.
For the warm support of the members of
the EEVC and the many other EV drivers and advocates I've met, for the
wonderful students in our hands-on workshops who safely and joyfully
worked together to build the e-Van and our Red Hot little Miata, and for
the many cherished collaborators I've had the pleasure of working with
and learning from -- I am truly thankful. |
