This ASSURE Model Lesson Plan is called "Telling Time."  It was created for 1st grade math students.  In this lesson the teacher uses a teacher clock as well as individual student clocks to help her students practice telling time.  Then the teacher uses technology, mainly a power point game, to give the students another opportunity to pracitce telling time.  This lesson corresponds to the GPS because at the end of the lesson students will be able to: tell time to the nearest hour and half hour and understand the movement of the minute hand and how it relates to the hour hand.  The students also do activities together which promotes learning.
