4 Sep 1918 a marriage is filed in Marion Co. IN for Margaret Hagy to marry William Jean Montgomery. The groom says he was b. 19 Aug 1876 at Vernon - parents William Montgomery and Lucretia Laurence. The bride says she was born 26 Jun 1875 a widow. If this is Henry's sister Margaret they have messed something up. She was born in Abingdon, Washington Co. VA - parents given as Henry Lee Watson and Eleanor Humes Logan. Odd coincidence - right age, right birthplace - did they mess up her father's surname? |
