Charles A. “Chuck” Wright – Newspaper Unknown – October 1999 – Durango, Colorado - Chuck Wright [died October 3, 1999] was born September 2, 1926, to John W. and Ethel C. Wright in Rattlesnake Butte CO. He has been a resident of this area since '31. Wright served in World War II in the US Navy. He has been a farmer and rancher his entire life and was a member of the Hereford Ass'n and American Farm Bureau. Wright was known for his wonderful sense of humor, and he would talk to anyone for hours. Wright died a dignified death. He is survived by daughter Jan Jackson at Albuquerque; son and daughter-in-law Steve and Joyce Wright at Arboles; sisters Marion Elwell of Rye, Eleanor Madill at Pueblo, Nell Clark in Pagosa Springs and Maxine Kolz of Montrose; brothers Norman Wright in Ignacio, George Briar at Klamath Falls OR and Kenneth Briar of White city OR; two grandchildren; and former wife Lois B. Wright in Albuquerque. His brothers Harold Wright and Ralph Briar died earlier. Funeral services were October 6 afternoon in Hood Mortuary Chapel; Pastor Gerald Brush officiated. Burial at Greenmount Cemetery. |
