This is a tribute to First Sergeant Michael S. Barnhill.  1st Sergeant Barnhill's vehicle was struck by a improvised exploding device (IED) on May 28, 2005.  He left behind a wife and three children back in Citrus Heights California.  I had the honor to serve with him in Sacramento California, and again here in Eugene Oregon when he was promoted to First Sergeant .  He was an outstanding Marine and a great friend. God Bless and Semper Fidelis.  You will be missed.  His memorial service was located at Mt. Vernon Mortuary on June 7th.  It is located in Citrus Heights California on Greenback Lane.
