Below are miscellaneous pieces I have written.  "Habakkuk hymn" is a side-by-side comparison of the last three verses of Habakkuk and a hymn that these verses inspired.  Next is a sermon on the same verses, which was the occasion for writing the hymn.
"Is Confession Good for the Soul?" is a paper I prepared for an adult education class when we were studying prayers of confession.  The sermon "Like a Child" covers some of the same territory but is mainly about hubris.
And I have included four other sermons--ones  that seemed to elicit the most response from the congregation. The fourth of these--The Thin and Ugly Cows--is an audio recording of a sermon preached February 22, 2009, Dryden Presbyterian Church.
