TLC TLC can stand for Thursday Leisure Club or just a place where "TLC" is received by Seniors who want a time to relax and a good meal. We meet monthly and enjoy the meal together followed by a varied programme of activities all designed to bring enjoyment especially to those who live alone and would not have the opportunity to do some of these things by themselves. We also have a 4 day "Holiday-at-Home" in the summer full of fun and activities to which all Seniors are welcome. Little Tots Fridays (term time only) between 10-11.30am parents bring their young children along to enjoy various creative activities. Overseas Mission We have a heart for other countries. A few years ago we sent a Team to Brazil and still have good links with this country. We are keen supporters of BMS (Baptist Missionary Society). For more information please see our Missions board in the sanctuary.
This is a monthly meeting that supports adults with learning disabilities so that they can worship and learn about the Christian faith in a welcoming environment. We meet together monthly (except in August) on a Sunday afternoon in Worthing Baptist Church. Our leadership team (all of whom are CRB checked) is drawn from several Worthing Churches of different denominations.
The Shine meetings are a mix of worship, easy to understand teaching, participation by all and tasty eats to finish with.We are part of a nation-wide organisation called Prospects, which supports over 170 similar groups. You can find them on www.prospects.org.uk |
