I wonder why you are checking out our website. Perhaps you have moved into the area and are looking for a new church. Perhaps you are in Worthing on Holiday. Perhaps you used to go to church and are thinking about trying it out again. Or, perhaps you are thinking about coming to church for the first time.
Whatever reason, please feel free to come along to one of our services and meet us. You are assured of a very warm welcome if you do so. Many visitors to Worthing Baptist Church tell us how friendly we are. Our church is made up from people of various ages, from a number of different nationalities and from many different backgrounds. We are one of eight Baptist Union Churches in greater Worthing, ours being the oldest of these at 132 years of age.
It is important to us that our weekly preaching is both faithful to the Bible and relevant to everyday life. Our morning service usually includes an "all age talk". We try to include a variety of musical worship in each service and some time is spent in prayer. Communion is held on a regular basis and on occasion we have a baptismal service. We run a number of different activities throughout the week (please see "What we do"). We are particularly keen to help newcomers to church get a better understanding of Christianity, helping them to do so in a non - pressurised way.
