Mountain Guide Travel operate a unique heli-ski operation in Swedish Lapland. With a heliski area half the size of Austria and over 200 peaks to choose from,  this is the largest wilderness area available for heliski in Western Europe. Thanks to the far north location the season starts in mid-March and runs until the end of May, with the last two weeks offering guests the unrivalled opportunity to heliski under a midnight sun!

Heliski Experience

Like all our operators, Mountain Guide travel offer a superior heliski experience with small groups (maximum 5), UIAGM/IFMGA qualified guides and modern, powerful helicopters. The program is equally suitable for skiers and snowboarders. The variety of landing options and terrain provides for all levels from first timers to experts. All safety equipment including shovels, transceivers, probes and backpacks are included.

Riksgransen

Riksgransen is the base resort for guests and offers lift-served skiing including off-piste and ski touring for down days when the helicopter can't fly. Three close by resorts offer further skiing options.

The ski touring routes take in the stunning scenery and wildlife of the area with ocean views of the local fjords.  Alternative activities include cross-country skiing, dogsledding, snowmobiling and ice climbing.

Accommodation

4* Meterologen Ski Lodge

Located just 150m from the closest lift and 30m from the helipad, Meterologen offer charming accommodation with an emphasis on great food and wine.

3* Hotel Rikgransen

The largest hotel in the resort and located next to the Meterologen, the Rikgransen offers bright and comfortable accommodation with simple Swedish style. The hotel features a sauna, jacuzzi and a nightclub.

All packages are semi-private with a maximum of two groups sharing the helicopter.

Sunday-Thursday - Short break. Prices from £1500.00pp

• 4 nights accommodation, 4 days heliskiing
• 10 000 vertical meters (2,5h flight time)

Sunday-Sunday - Full week. Prices from £3300.00pp

• 7 nights accommodation, 7 days heliskiing
• 30 000 vertical meters (7h flight time)

All packages include: Guiding with UIAGM/IFMGA qualified guides, breakfast, lunch and dinner, minibus ground transfer all safety equipment and avalanche training. Ski equipment can be rented locally and ski passes can be bought locally on down days.

Guarantees

If the quoted vertical is not possible due to factors such as weather, refunds will be made at the rate of £175.00 per person for each flight our not used. The guiding service will still be included for lift served skiing and ski touring.

Additional Skiing

Additional heliskiing is available at a cost of £300 per person per additional hour flight time which provides for approximately 4000 metres of vertical.
