View Larger Map | What is World Hoop Day? Français ici. Last year, people on six continents synchronized their hoops on July
7th in the first World Hoop Day, with hundreds of custom hoops given
away and money raised for charity. Ultimately, if it
is true that "outer peace begins with inner peace," then by
collectively cultivating self-acceptance through hooping, we are one
big step closer toward world peace.
But why hooping? Well, it’s because the circle itself is a powerful and timeless symbol, encompassing wholeness, completion, equality and revolution. The circle is considered sacred in many cultures, and it is the blueprint of universe itself: from the orbits of the stars and planets, down to the very atoms of matter, we revolve around each other and yet we remain in the centre. Hoopdance is a joyous expression of this universal reality. [more on "hooping" & "hoopdance"...] Who Can Hoop? Anyone can. (Truly!) People of all ages, abilities and walks of life are invited; hoops, great music and snacks will be provided. A lot of fun, smiles and open hearts awaits you. Please join us in celebrating the circle of peace! THE FUN IS FREE (and FREE IS FUN!) Want to Learn More?
