For Tuesday, 1/20: Read "The Inka," 178-181 in textbook -- I'll check your notes in class. For Friday, 1/16: Finish your writing on the Florentine Codex. In the event of a cancellation, this is due by email, 3:00pm. For Tuesday, 1/13:
Look at the table we made in class today. Were the Aztecs and the Mayas more alike or more different? Write 3-4 sentences justifying the position you take.
For Monday, 1/12: Read 171-176 in textbook (up to "The First Civilizations in South America"). For each section, take Main Idea - Supporting Evidence notes: Politics, Social Structures, Land of the Feathered Serpent, Art and Culture, The Destruction of Aztec Civilization. This means come up with the MAIN IDEA of the section and write bullet points about SUPPORTING EVIDENCE for that main idea.
Check/zero. For Friday, 1/9: Read 166-170 in textbook (up to "The Aztecs"). For each of the following sentences, either AGREE or DISAGREE and find 3 pieces of evidence to support your position.
