I am a senior research engineer at Nuance Communications, working on R&D on medical transcription. Prior to joining Nuance, I was a senior business consultant and also a senior analyst at Convergys Corporation. I'm interested in many aspects of human language processing such as speech recognition and natural language processing as well as statistical machine learning.  I received a Ph.D. from the Computer Science dept. at The Johns Hopkins University. I also worked at the Center for Language and Speech Processing.
