Instructions for your Sunday:

Thanks for offering to help! We're glad you're here! Usually 10 dozen donut holes is enough.  If possible, please get all donut holes so we can reduce the mess we make on Sunday mornings (and please do not get sprinkled donuts since they can create an extra mess).  If you get regular donuts instead, please make sure to cut the donuts in half so that there is plenty to go around.  Also, if you would like to bring a couple of gallons of orange juice for the children to enjoy, you can place it in the mini refrigerator in the ChristQuest area at the "Common Ground Cafe."

Coffee Instructions:

There are 2 new "single-serve" coffee makers that should be set out on the Common Ground Cafe counter each week, and we will also continue to provide traditional coffee pots.  Here are the instructions:

You can bring coffee in from Starbucks or home or a place of your choosing, or...

Make sure you give yourself about 10 minutes to do the coffee before you head to service. It must be done before service, because it takes 30 minutes to brew. Please feel free to find Sarah Drury the first time and she will walk you through it - she is usually in the 5 yr old Sunday School classroom.

The coffeemaker is on a cart in The Kids Commons OR in the Kitchen or in the Custodian’s office (used to be called “The Bay Area”).  The Starbucks coffee is in a bin in The Kids Commons (if you can’t find it, use coffee from the supply pantry in the Kitchen). The Kitchen has a large deep sink where you can fill the coffee maker.

1.     Remove the coffeemaker's top and black plastic filter (on a metal stick) and fill the urn with water to the "shadow line" inside (about 3/4 of the way up).

2.     Replace the plastic filter and, using about ¾ of a coffee cup full of coffee grounds, pour coffee grounds into filter.

3.     Replace the coffeemaker top, twisting it until it catches to make sure it is on tight.

4.     Before you leave the kitchen, make sure there is enough sugar and creamer on the cart as well as cups and coffee stirrers. (There is a supply closet right next to the hallway that has all these supplies).

5.     Roll the cart and coffeemaker back down to the ChristQuest area.

6.     There is a cord that attaches to the coffeemaker; plug it into the coffeemaker and then into the wall socket. The red light on the coffeemaker probably will not come on until the coffee is done, but you may hear it making noise.

You're done! Leave it and head on to service or class. The coffee takes about 30 minutes to brew. You do not need to clean it up afterwards.

Please allow about 5-10 minutes to do this your first time. Once you know where everything is, you can knock it out in under 5 minutes the next time.
