Children & young people

We believe that it is right that our children learn about our faith. But we also challenge them to think about their own lives and make their own decisions about.God, Jesus, church and questions they have about the world around them.

We provide fun and stimulating activities for children and young people of all ages for part of the time during most Sunday gatherings. Children under 5 years have a crèche. Primary school children have their own special activities, as do young people in secondary schools.
We use LightLive resources for our groups on Sundays - click the logo to find out more >>>

Our young people's group, known as RAZ, meets on Sunday evenings. They meet from 7.00 - 8.30pm in various locations - contact us  for information about this group.

RAZ also has a new Bible Study on Tuesday nights called UNEARTH. This runs from 6.45pm - 8.30pm in a group leader's house.

During term-time, we run a parent and toddler group called Babes in the Wood. This is on Thursdays from 1.30 - 3.00pm at Parklands Evangelical Church.

We run a mid-week kids club called Going Bananas in partnership with Dunvant Christian Fellowship. This runs on Wednesday evenings from 6.00 - 7.00pm at Waunarlwydd Primary School.

In April 2009 we started another mid-week kids club in Gors Community Primary School (where we have our Sunday gatherings) called StreetWise - check out the StreetWise page here.

We care about our children and young people. Anyone who works with children and young people in Woodlands Church have an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check and work within our Child Protection Policy. Mark Campion acts as our Child Protection Officer and you should contact him if you have concerns about this aspect of our work.
