2010 art min-camp

Art Enrichment Summer Mini-camp 2010: 
Exploring and Integrating art ideas with projects and fun

Your child is invited to participate in a special art program to be held during the summer at the Wells Branch Library.   A variety of activities are planned for each session that include painting, drawing, weaving, paper-making,  fabric painting, mosaics, clay sculpture, puppets, and more. This year we are adding a special science art week that should be exciting.
Each week has its own theme.  Enroll for one or all. All sessions are FULL for this summer. Thanks for looking.

6/15 - 6/17 Ready, Set, Paint-Learn about some of the ways great artists created their paintings then paint their own apron,  a mirror, learn enamel painting, watercolor and more. (FULL as of 5/26)

6/29 - 7/1 All about Paper—Learn about paper making & paper mache,  paper sculpting, origami and more (FULL as of 5/31)

7/13 - 7/15 Mad for Mosaics-
Learn to design & make projects with stones, glass, seeds, & paper. Make masks, paint a t-shirt, banners, and more. (FULL as of 6/4)

7/27 - 7/29 Puppets & Puppet Theaters-Learn about and make shadow puppets, finger puppets, marionettes and make a set for a puppet show. (FULL as of 6/7)


8/10 - 8/12 Wild & Wacky Art of Science-create an erupting volcano or hand-made clay sculptures, paint with oil in water, and more —the best and coolest of science with art. (FULL as of 6/3)

Important information:

Ages: 7-12 (must have completed 1st grade) 
* Hours: 11:30am -3 pm Tue.-Wed-Thurs.
* Fee: $23/week   10% Sibling discount available
* Cost includes all supplies and materials
* Only 18 students allowed per session
* High ratio of teachers to students 
* 20% of fee supports the library.
