This site is designed to give teachers many different ideas and opportunities to carry out in their classroom when teaching weather units. We have explored many different topics of weather and how we can build a lesson and activities that are both engaging and informative for classrooms. There are many activities that can incorporate technology within our lesson plans which include Microsoft Power point, short movies made in Movie Maker, Excel spread sheets, and audio pod casting. Our main goal on this site is to incorporate this technology hands on along with many experiments and activities for students to get involved in. Our main goal for the end of the unit is for students to perform their very own weather forecast whether this is done at school or a local news station. Being able to carryout their own forecast can really show their understanding of different weather topics and effects of weather.
We are very pleased to share this site with you and hope you can build off of our creative ideas and lessons we have to offer on the topic of weather.
