Hello-I'm Nigel Preston-Jones a storyteller based in Newmarket, UK. I am a member of the Cambridge Storytellers-I run the website for the group www.cambridgestorytellers.com - and am its treasurer. I have been telling stories for, well... more years than I can remember. I work as a professional storyteller at a Cambridge hospital and have done so for 7 years. I'm one of a therapeutic team that includes a potter, an artist & a dance instructor. I also work as a storyteller for an early-onset dementia group in Cambridge As a teacher working with children of all ages I find stories are profoundly motivating for them. I tell stories in schools and for groups like the WI, the National Trust, local history societies... I specialise in stories from around the world choosing what I feel is best suited to each audience, with an emphasis on humorous tales, anecdotes and poetry. I love to leave people feeling cheerful at the end of a session.
