Women’s Rights: Home Page Lately, women have been gaining more and more rights despite the fact
that women have been persecuted since the beginning of time. However, in
Afghanistan, the importance of women is dropping and new rules are depriving
women of their rights. In 1996, the Talibans took over and enforced strict rules and
were masculine supremacists. Fortunately, women have been regaining their rights
as the American soldiers suppressed Taliban rulers in Afghanistan. Recently, in the
US, for the first time, a woman ran for presidency and reached the primaries.
Feminine persecution is a plague in society’s peace that must be stopped.
