Let Me Count the Ways, Let Me Count the Days!

by John Judah Jeshurun Jr.

First of all you are truly human-

and you are ‘sho”nuff’ ow--woman

and I thank God that you stand-

with me, without force, without demand!

Next you are certainly a real love-

representing peace just like a dove-

stopping me from making a fool of-

myself, protecting me just like a dove!

Thirdly you are endless fascinations-

because you have these special educations-

soothing my many, many, many frustrations-

with your countless and patient conversations!

And you are so very uncommonly sweet-

Girl, I love you from yo’ head to yo’ feet-

the birds will always sing tweet, tweet, tweet-

Brother, God ‘sho”nuff’ gave you a treat!

And you are very notably kind-

I know that you will always find-

that you are constantly on my mind-

which makes yours and my love bind!

You also remind me a lot of my mother-

You nag and pamper me like no other-

Your awareness is warm, it does not smother-

Girl you are what God wants me to discover!

And you always know when things go wrong-

For women to be weak-

You are ‘sho”nuff strong-

And you are there just as long as the day is long-

And I can go on and on and on and on!

So Let Me Count the Ways-

Let Me Count the Days that I Love You!

Amen!!!

Dee End!!!

FROM THE BLACKMAN TO THE BLACKWOMAN!

by John Judah Jeshurun Jr.

Quote:

This poem is not sexual-

it is actual-

practical-

and tactical-

unquote!

No more will I ever leave you

And I ‘sho”nuff’ cannot deceive you-

Because I love you Blackwoman!

I love the way you look

I love the way you read a book-

And I’m crazy about the way you cook!

I love the way you walk-

and when you open up and talk-

even if you compliment me or even squawk!

I still and I truly love you Blackwoman!

God Almighty has awakened me-

I once was blind, but now I see!

the things I did wrong I try to do good-

you see, I want to represent this true manhood!

You are so beautiful

truthful

and youthful!
I still and I truly love you, you beautiful Blackwoman!
when there was no other
you were my counselor and mother!

So pound for pound-

this love is sound

I cannot walk around-

without loving you, you beautiful Blackwoman!

May our God bless you

and our Lord caress you

You beautiful Blackwoman!

Amen!!!

Dee End!!!

It’s Not Good, for a Man to be Alone!

by John Judah Jeshurun Jr.

My father and my mother,

hey, hey, they loved each other

and they had a love so true!

Taught me, my sisters and brothers,

there’s no need to have others-

just love the one you’re married to!

Be together in situations,

   disregard vain conversations-

because you need each other like life!

   In times of frustrations,

   Your days of humiliations-

Lord knows, it’s so good to have a wife!

Why be unfaithful,

   turning your love hateful-

making your destiny a very bitter end!

   When you should be grateful,

   you’ve found a mate-

full of trust, worthier then friends!

Son, It’s Not Good,

for a Man to be Alone

that’s Why God Gave Adam, Eve!

   Ooo, I Wish You Would,

Find someone to Call Your Own

someone in Whom You Can Believe-

someone in Whom You Can Believe

Son, Someone in Whom You Can Believe!

Loyalty has directions,

   Especially in complications-

Working miracles helping to show a way through!

   No one has perfection,

   We all need correction-

Son remember, someone has to put up with you-

Son, someone has to put up with you-

Son, someone has to put up with you!

A woman's an actress,

   she’s always in practice

she’s good, she’s bad, but hey that’s her way!

   She’s a rose, she’s a cactus,

   but from breakfast to breakfast-

it is good to see her each and everyday!

Now many go without trust,

   their root became rust-

they dried up, they wouldn’t bend, so they broke!

   Realize it is a must,

and you’ll be just like us-

you won’t mind having to put on this yoke!

Son, it’s Not Good,

for a Man to Be Alone

That’s Why God Gave Adam, Eve!

   Ooo, I Wish You Would-

Find Someone to Call Your Own-

Someone in Whom You Can Believe-

Son, Someone in Whom You Can Believe

Son, Someone in Whom You Can Believe!

And I wanna Thank the Good Lord-

    But on my own Accord!

Amen! ! !

Dee End!!!

HOW STRANGE, NO CHANGE?

By John Judah Jeshurun Jr.

I saw you in the lounge, trapping men, because you are so fine,

Lady how strange!

Face painted like a clown, wanting men to respect you for your mind,

Yet you won’t change!

Finally getting a man who keeps you in and out of bed, he’s so vain,

You say, “How strange”?

Frustrated you misunderstand he’s after your body and not your brain,

Yet you won’t change!

He never listens to you or shows you any  “sho’nuff” real respect,

You say, “How strange”?

One-sided love turns to hate, he is not after your mind only sex,

Yet you won’t change!

Now you flaunt your hatred of men, yet you say you love your sons,

Ms. how strange!

Your ways you will defend, until all the battles are finally won,

And then, why change?

Amen!!!

Dee End!!!

Write on!

Right on!

BLACK MAN!

 by B. Israel

Why do I need you?

Why is it that you can make me feel so blue?

Why do you fill me with desire?

What is it about you that I admire?

Why am I so happy when you are near?

Why does my heart ache when you disappear?

Here are some reasons why,

I simply can’t deny,

That the thought of you makes me high!

Black Man,

Your eyes fascinate me,

Your soul caresses me,

Your lips say beautiful things to me,

Your mind teaches me,

It is your strength that moves me,

And your intelligence that intrigues me,

I love the way you protect me,

I adore the way you love me,

I feel at peace when you hold me,

Together we are ONE as it should be.

To all Brothers in CHRIST, MUCH LOVE!!!!

“YOUR RIB”

by B. Israel

When you asked me to be your wife,

Did you know one day your words would cut me like a knife?

I trusted you with my heart,

Because I loved and adored you from the start.

You were my ADAM,

And I was your RIB.

Your kiss and your smile told me you loved me,

But your words and your actions spoke of hatred and a need to be free.

Why did this happen, I asked,

How could love die so fast?

I pondered, “What God has brought together let no man put asunder”.

But you said, “No, we made a blunder”.

We both had expectations,

Wild and passionate imaginations.

Where did we go wrong?

Why did your feelings become weak and not strong?

Good Bye my love and may God keep you.

I shall grieve and let go and no longer need you.

Is the grass really greener on the other side or is that an illusion?

“MY MATE”

by B. Israel

I have waited for God to send to me my mate.

Each day I awake I look to that date.

Some will say “forget it, it’s a waste of time”.

But I say no it isn’t, because I’m at my prime.

If not this year, maybe next year,

If not next year, I shall not fear.

Doesn’t matter to me how long,

Because my faith is very strong.

At this time he is being groomed by the Most High,

When he is ready God will send him nigh.

Is he tall?

Is he handsome?

Is he a “Brother”?

All that matters is that he fears the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob,

And together we shall love each other and the CREATOR.

We can't live without each other, so why try?
