The West Los Angeles Community Plan area represents a collection of individual neighborhoods on the Westside, nestled between the cities of Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, with instantly recognizable landmarks, such as Century City. The New Community Plan seeks to respect the community and City as a whole.
Building upon the community's vision for the future of West Los Angeles, the Community Plan seeks to guide development and the use of land in a manner that maintains and enhances the quality of life of those who live, work, or own property in this area.
The Community Plan can be used by community members to ensure that change occurs in an orderly manner. The plan must be updated periodically to ensure that changes keep pace with the community's goals for West Los Angeles.
The plan update began in July 2007 and will take approximately 3 years to complete -- IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO GET INVOLVED! See below for ways to participate.
