If you belong to their frequent guest club, be sure to furnish your information for credit for this stay. Reunion rates apply for one day before (9/8/12) and one day after (9/12/12) the official reunion dates. Ø Ø Rooms are “double-doubles” at 89.00 per night per room. Tentative Schedule
Sunday, September 9: Arrival. Registration in the Hospitality Room (opening asap).
Monday, September 10: We will be guests of the 8th Naval District, located about 12 miles south of New Orleans. Board transportation at hotel, 9AM, for our trip to the base, where Navy personnel will escort us to the chapel for our memorial service. Next, is a “windshield tour” of some of the finest aircraft flown by the US Navy! The Navy will bring aircraft to a staging area for a “meet the pilots” and photo opportunity. Then, we will have lunch in the base galley and return to the hotel. The rest of the day and evening will be free. (Approximately 4 hours is planned for this activity.)
Tuesday, September 11: Business meeting. Time/place will be provided on day of arrival. The rest of the day is free. The concierge will be available to assist with tours, information and requests. A farewell dinner, with entertainment, will be held in the evening at the historic “Court of Two Sisters”. We will enjoy some of the finest local cuisine at one of the most historic restaurants in the French Quarter. It’s a 4 block walk from the hotel. If you need extra assistance, we can arrange a cab or perhaps a ride in one of the romantic carriages readily available in the French Quarter.
