A note from Pastor Drapeau...

Greetings, Winchester Church Family!

I feel the need to extend publicly a great "Thank you!" for your incredible hospitality and warm reception, as you have welcomed me, my wife, Valerie, and our children, Caleb and Rachel, into the church family. I am both humbled and overjoyed that God has called me to the role of friend, mentor, and Senior Pastor at Winchester Community Church, and my family is thrilled to join the life and ministries of the church. The words of the Apostle Paul in the New Testament of the Bible resonate so true: "I thank my God every time I remember you!" (Philippians 1:3)

As my family and I have moved to West Seneca in early November, and began our involvement int the church, I ask that you continue to pour your hearts and souls into the current work of the ministry at Winchester. Whether you are actively involved in the many programs in the church and community, whether you have not specifically begun to help out in church ministry but are now thinking of doing so, or even if you are somewhere in between, I ask that you continue -even increase- your faithfulness to God and to this church. Transition is difficult at times, and I will do my best as your Pastor to quickly learn from you and support you in what God is doing in your lives and the church as a whole. Together,  with Christ at the helm, we will all work for and seek God's kingdom and glory in West Seneca, Buffalo, and all of western New York.

And, as you are serving, attending, giving, and loving, and as my family and I are leading, learning, helping, and joining, it is inevitable that some anxiety or frustration may occur. It is natural, as human beings, to weary and worry, especially in a time of great transition, full of potential uncertainty. How perfect, then, that God provides a supernatural solution in His Son, Jesus Christ:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

Let us seek God together as a church, laying down all anxiety, and in prayer and thanksgiving, experience the joy and peace of God that comes only through Christ Jesus!

In this joy,

Pastor Drapeau
