:::::: I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library. ::::::
Jorge Luis Borges
Welcome! Very little on these pages is new or updated. (8/12/2011) WHO? and WHAT? Who am I? Like most professionals (Doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc.) I tend to define myself by my occupation. I am a Librarian. Specifically, I am a Engineering Librarian at San Diego State University (SDSU) and the current Head of Collection Development. I was the Engineering at the University of New Orleans (UNO) for a little over six years prior to coming to San Diego. I have several other degrees, a BA in English - Creative Writing and a BS in Physical Geography; however, it is only the Masters in Library and Information Science that What is this all about? Well, I'll warn you in advance. It is very likely that I will talk about librarianship from time to time. Katrina, is also still a significant aspect of my life. However, I will also talk about my other interests in art (painting - drawing), food, movies, games (board games, rpgs, video <playstation nerd>, and computer - yes, am I a major nerd), and books (mostly fiction, science fiction, and biography). Poem for home. Not given to sharing my poetry, it usually isn't very good. I'm not sure this is either. But, I still like it after having read it a couple of times. For other writing see the Selected list of Publications, the Writing link, or my SDSU Library Webpage. | Selected List of Publications "Information, now"in Louisiana Libraries, 64(1), Summer, '01 "Tao of Resource Sharing" in The Serials Librarian. 41(1), '01 "Access to Scientific Information", in Nature. 420(19) '02 "The Multitasking Librarian" (draft linked)in Louisiana Libraries, 67(2), Fall, '04 | |||||
