Landshare Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s Landshare Project was setup to help people find land to grow on. The project helps people across Englands counties to access un-used land, link people with their local community, stimulate local food action and help landowners find productive uses for their land. As part of the scheme aBecketts provide 3 options to offer people; 1 – Bring your fruit along instead of just seeing it rot on the ground and “donate” it to the pressing. In return a 15% discount card will be issued so people can keep buying juice throughout the year. 2 – a'Becketts will make juice from your apples at cost price from as little as £1.25 a 750ml bottle 3 – For every 3 bottles a'Becketts make from supplied apples by members of the scheme, members will get one for their own use at no charge. John & Stephen Tuck from Highgate Farm based in Wootton Bassett can crush and press apples, even windfalls, bruised and blemished ones. The juice is returned to you pasteurised, bottled and with customised labels. the Resulting juice will have a shelf life of at least a year.
250ml, 330ml, 750ml & 1 litre green or clear screwtop glass bottles are available. Highgate farm can also return raw juice for making into cider, or make cider for you.
