Played Declan last night he brought his Goblins, we played 2400 points and from what I can remember:
4 Lords 1 Hero BSB 1 Hero 2 Lv 2's 2 Lv 1's 3 Blocks of Goblins 30+ 2 units Wolf riders 2 Chaiots 1 Spear thrower 1 rock lobber 1 doom diver 5 river trolls ( I HATE THEM!)
Vs
1 Beastlord 1 Lv4 Wiz 1 BSB Wargor 1 LV2 Wiz 2 units of Raiders 30 ungor 20 ungor 14 gor 2 Chaiots 22 Bestigor 2 units of 3 minos 2 razagor gorgang.
I've only played vs Declan once before at Cardiff it was great fun and I really wanted a repeat game of this, he lives just down the road but we just have never got together to play before. I was not disappointed the game was fun enjoyable and a Very different army from others around at the moment. He also knows whats he is doing with it giving you crap for 6 turns and keeping the good stuff at the back.
I had more deployments than him in this army, he even got the +1 to go first (must be a first for him) we both setup our stuff in the corner to protect flanks and for me to try and force through his line.
fun parts of the battle:
Getting charged by a wolf chariot on my minos him doing 1 wound on me and in return missing all 9 attacks needing 3's to hit and losing but not breaking the combat.
Charging my Lv2 wizard and ungor unit into his trolls turning the wizard into a mountain chimera doing lots of hits and wounds then declan making almost all the regen saves. River trolls -1 to hit and regen hurns even big hitters.
Generals unit finally getting into the fight and doing the job they are bought for.
first 3 turns of magic I channeled 5 out of 6 dice and declan got 0 out of 12
winning the game in the last turn - just
I really should not be as scarred of Fanatics just take the hit and get stuck in, I spent a turn not going in as much and it meant that it really was down to the last turn and the last move because of this.
After a number of games - I LOVE THE BASE BEAST SPELL +1 S and T FTW
