Entlebuch Cattle Dog (Entlebucher Mountain Dog) is an old cattle and watching breed from Switzerland and it still has the characteristic of workdog in its heritage.

Entlebuchers are intelligent, energic, agile and learn easy. They are very attached to their family and want to be there the human members of the family are.

The breed is suspicious of strangers. Nothing leaves out of they noticing and they react fast. The breed has a loud bark and many entlebuchers express theyselves with voice. It doesn't have tendency to hunt and at least bitches will stay nicely at homeyard.

The dog's energy and need to be noticed can become a strain, if one is not prepared for it. You should not take an entlebucher, if you can't give it time and notice. It will be happiest when it is doing something together with it's family. Puppy's socialization and dog's training is necessary, although it is meant to be just a family pet. As trained the breed is an exellent family ang hobbydog.
